We have compiled a history book about the area from the time of First Nations People in 1763 to 1959, titled "Exploring Our Roots". The book may be purchased for $50. Available at the Museum, the Barriere Chamber of Commerce and Armour Mountain Office Services.
This book includes family histories of First Nations and pioneers. Related topics are development of agriculture, communities, churches, education, forest industries, the forest service, fur trade, mining, organizations, recreation and transportation.
General interest stories are included for your enjoyment.
Annual Quilt Show
In August, the Museum showcases small and large quilts crafted by locals and area artisans. There are a variety on display; including vintage pieces and colourful contemporary works of art.
